Here we are at the end of another year.  Sadly, there is more death and destruction in so many corners of our planet.  It is heartbreaking but we must continue to work towards establishing a world free of violence, abuse and of course war.

The December issue of the BPI Newsletter focuses again on the most recent war in Palestine/Israel.  We urge you to do what you can to stop the carnage and the blatant violation of human rights  in Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Of course we must also raise the alarm about these same types of violations in other parts of the world.  Remember war is war no matter where or for what reason. Racism, bigotry, all forms of abuse are also a type of war on people by people.

We also need someone to volunteer a couple of hours a month to deliver the Newsletter in downtown Grand Forks (our current person needed to move out of the area).  Volunteers are a vital part of many groups, especially non-profits like we are.  We do not have the funds to hire anyone, so we rely on the good will of you, our brothers and sisters that feel Peace is the Way, Peace is the Solution.  Contact Laura at 250-442-0434 or 250-444-0524 or email at L4peace@telus.net.
