This is the last issue for 2021. How quickly the year flew by, at least it seems that way to me. So, the BPI Newsletter is up and ready for you to read and then share with family and friends. Remember that we are not yet in a position to distribute hard copy, so print out a copy or two to share with those who do not have internet access. As soon as we are able, hopefully by the spring of 2022, we will once again put copies in local, Grand Forks, outlets. And if you wish to have a hard copy sent to you let us know and we can do so but remember it does cost postage to send that along. We are totally dependant on donations to continue our work and are always open to accept your donations. The address is on the website or contact Laura via email for the land mail address. Thank you for your support. Enjoy the holidays and take a moment or two to think about what you are willing to do to bring peace and harmony to our world. Imagine, we are almost done with 2021; it’s November. This month we focus on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms so that we are all informed when we talk about this document. I know it is long, requiring a Special Edition, and I know it can be tedious to read but if we are going to quote from this valuable document then we need to know what is in it and not rely of other sources to tell what is in it. Of course I encourage you to go to the Government of Canada website and check it out for yourself along with the references. Then remember to share this Newsletter with family and friends and especially with those who do not have access to the internet. As soon as we are able to, we will once again distribute hard copy in the Boundary region and continue to post it on our website. Have a great month as you ready for winter. Here is a link to an interview conducted by The Guardian Newspaper with Greta Thurnberg. It is long but very informative and interesting. Take a few moments of your time to read it and think about what this young girl is telling us. Gracing our eyes are the wonderful colours of Autumn as the crisp air fills our lungs with freshness after a summer full of smoke and heat. The October issue of the BPI Newsletter will inform you on the UN Declaration of Human Rights. So take a bit of time to read and think about this valuable document and then share it with family and friends. October 8, 2021Leave a comment issue-215-oct.-2021Download
As we enter September our thoughts turn to harvest in the northern hemisphere and in the south it is early spring. But around the world September 21st marks the UN designated International Day of Peace. As this months Newsletter reveals there is little peace in our world right now but that needs to signal to those of us who value peace above war, that we have much work to do and we must stand strong and share information, educate and mostly live peace, equity, justice and protect our environment so we can live in peace. We can do something, give someone struggling a hug, anything that speaks to peace and harmony and love for our global family. The newsletter is here for you to begin the road to being informed and to share that among your family and friends. August 29, 2021Leave a comment issue-214-sept-2021Download
