May Issue focuses on Mothers Day

May entered with a blast of heat that melted snow and threatens flooding in many regions of B.C. as well, I am sure in other parts of the Northern world.
May also brings Mothers Day celebrations. For the peace movement it is a day begun in 1870 as a walk for peace by women.
This issue of the BPI Newsletter focuses on the true meaning of this day with the 40th year of the Kootenay/Boundary/Okanagan of B.C and Washington State Mothers Day Walk for Peace. We invite you to join us to build community in a loving and peaceful gathering to honour Mother Earth and call for peace, socioeconomic justice and environmental sustainability as one global family.
